Snap Happy

These are some snaps from the last couple of months pretty much a small timeline of my life!

Some are from the very few nights out I have had recently, due to weightloss, lack of money and being in my final year of uni I have been lacking on going out, when you live with friends, your not as deprived from a social life as some think, but it is always nice to actually leave the house and have some fun as well!

I went and watched Wales play Scotland a few weeks back which was amazing! I am a massive Wales fan being half welsh and having the welsh name, and there is nothing I love more than hearing 70,000 fans sing the welsh national anthem. I have watched rugby since I was 3, it is a huge deal with my whole family and something we all love to do together.

We have also started lent this week. OH GOD. I have given up pizza hut, macdonalds and chocolate. I am hoping by the end of this I will have lost pounds from my body and gained pounds in my account!

In a few weeks time, 5 to be exact I will be sitting pretty in NYC! I am SO excited I am in love with that city, so I am saving for that as well, and then after that I finish uni and 4 days later fly out to Egypt for 2 weeks with my bestie!  Cannot wait!

I have also been thinking alot about my future seeing as I graduate soon. I am applying for jobs everywhere, Cardiff being my main target seeing as I am a little bit of a nomad and love to travel and move, there is a company there that asked me to contact them as soon as I finish uni which is promising and also there is potential for living space up there as well which would be awesome!

But then I want to go down under for a while and experience life over there, again I have contacts and family so it is possible, with my savings I could definatly go! Basically the world is my oyster and I cannot wait to move on and do something new and different with it!

Thought of the day

It is a strange thing, but once you decide to stop drinking you social life can become some what limited.
Don't get me wrong I don't feel the need to drink to have fun, but it would seem that as soon as you say 'I'm not drinking' the invites to clubs and bars seem to stop and you realise that being a student, drinking seems to be a massive part of that life.

As I am in my final semester for uni my workload is huge and my free time is limited, so drinking is now further than ever down on my list of priorities. But what ever happened to going out for a meal or to the cinema?
Why does it always have to be nights out at shitty clubs and getting wasted?

Last week I went on a night out after a month and half of no drinking, it was a good night but I don't remember any of it, not even how I got home and that is scariest part, I'm not blaming anyone I let myself get into that situation but it still scares me, I was ill for an entire week, only starting to feel like human today and once again have decided that drinking is not for me, unless it is a quiet one at the pub.

But it would seem announcing that you would rather be healthy is like saying 'I would love to stamp on your face sometime'

It seems strange that not drinking is such a taboo, and looking after yourself is such a strange thing??

So we shall see, I'm not saying I will be sober forever, but the days of all day drinking and all day hangovers and fast food are out of the window, enter research, sketchbooks, the gym and cups of tea.
